About Me

I am an artist in love with colours, lines and shapes. Welcome to my visual world.

I have always been fascinated by colours and their beautiful possibilities. Growing up, I took every art class offered at school. I went on to pursue my passion studying visual arts and obtained my Graphic Arts and Design Degree from Laval University. Shortly after graduating, I moved to Calgary and started my family.

My art practice further developed after taking a series of classes in drawing, watercolour and acrylic. I was able to approach acrylic more freely and fell in love with this medium. My artistic expression has flourished with the transformation of my process. I use a spontaneous application of colours into abstract shapes. These shapes guide the many symbolic images that fill my mind, which then take their place on my canvas when their turn comes.

In my creations, the graphic design world is beneath the surface and feeds my expression. While using shapes, lines, forms, textures, contrasts and colours, I create worlds made up of observations in my environment. The subjects in my pieces are diversified—they represent the natural world, animals, everyday objects or scenes painted in my own interpretative and whimsical way. My work reflects happiness, joy and wonder through design and colour.

Over the years, I have had a number of solo and duo exhibitions. I have regularly participated in group shows and have had my paintings on display. In 2019, I was especially thrilled to be an artist in residence, at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. My residency project will begin touring in 2022 when COVID-19 restrictions allow. The first showing is at the Galerie CAVA, in Edmonton until April 8th 2022.
